Julie’s blog
Great news! This summer, I’m going to France for a holiday with my family. My grandfather is coming with us, too. We’re going to stay in a hotel near a small town called Moliets. The hotel is in a forest next to a lake. It’s one of the best places for golf in France, so my grandfather is really excited about it. There’s also a swimming pool at the hotel and there are beautiful places for hiking, cycling and horse riding. My little sister wants to go horse riding, but my mother thinks it’s dangerous. Fortunately, there are many other things to do at the hotel and in the area.

My family and I love cycling, so we’re going to get bikes in Moliets. We’re going to explore all the cycle paths. My parents also want to go hiking in the forest and sailing on the lake. My brother and I are going to go sailing with my parents, but we aren’t going to go hiking with them. We don’t want to be with them all the time. The hotel is also near a beautiful beach, and it’s famous for its excellent surfing. So we’re going to go surfing in the Atlantic Ocean! My brother is going to be my surfing teacher. He surfs beautifully, and he can’t wait to teach me. One of my school friends, Emily, is also planning a holiday in Moliets. In the evenings, she’s going to meet me at the beach and we’re going to walk around the town.
This afternoon, I’m going shopping for some new clothes to take with me. Mum agreed to give me money for a new swimsuit, sandals, some shirts and some shorts. Should I take anything else? I want to look good because the French boys are so good-looking!
